1. Round single-wire copper core Ø 0.4; 0.5: 0.64 mm.
2. Polyethylene insulation.
3. Twisting of pairs
Two insulated cores (a and b), significantly different in color, are twisted into a pair.
4. Twisting of pairs into a bundle or core
Pairs of cores are twisted into elementary bundles (five- or ten-pair) or a core (five- or ten-pair cable).
| Conventional number of pairs in an elementary bundle | Designation and coloring of the core in a pair | ||
| a | b | ||
| 1 | white | blue (light blue) | |
| 2 | orange (yellow) | ||
| 3 | green | ||
| 4 | brown | ||
| 5 | grey | ||
| 6 | red | blue (light blue) | |
| 7 | orange (yellow) | ||
| 8 | green | ||
| 9 | brown | ||
| 10 | gray | ||
5. Separating layer
A fastening winding of synthetic or cotton threads or synthetic tapes is applied in an open spiral over the elementary bundle.
6. Twisting of elementary bundles
Elementary bundles are twisted into cores using unidirectional or multidirectional twisting, and cable cores with up to 50 pairs inclusive are twisted using unidirectional or multidirectional twisting, or using the wave twisting method. Marking is allowed using a counting and elementary bundle in each core or main bundle winding, differing from the other bundles by the color of the fastening thread or tape. The counting elementary bundle is wound with a fastening synthetic or cotton thread or synthetic tape of red color, the guide bundle is wound with a thread or tape of green color (winding with a thread or tape of blue color is allowed). A fastening winding of synthetic or cotton threads or synthetic tapes is applied to the main bundles in an open spiral.
| Conventional number of an elementary bundle | Color of fastening elements | Conventional number of an elementary bundle | Color of fastening elements |
| 1 | blue (light blue) | 6 | blue (light blue) |
| 2 | orange | 7 | orange |
| 3 | green | 8 | green |
| 4 | gray | 9 | gray |
7. Belt insulation
A belt insulation made of polyamide, polyethylene or polyethylene terephthalate tapes is applied either as a winding or longitudinally with overlap over the twisted core.
8. Screen
A screen made of aluminum polymer tape is applied longitudinally or as a winding over the belt insulation. Tinned copper wire is laid under the screen.
9. Polyethylene sheath.
10. Protective hose
